Business VoIP
Business VoIP is cooking. From business VoIP service providers to business VoIP networking and systems manufacturers, the VoIP field is hotter than its ever been before. Business organizations have discover the huge cost savings that VoIP can provide. Whether its adding to or upgrading from a current PBX system, integrating a relatively low cost business VoIP system just makes sense.
The traditional analog PBX systems operate on a cost per minute model set up by the telephone companies, whereas business VoIP systems may combine a low cost version of the per minute model for international calls along with a usage model that may shave 50 to 75 percent off the traditional phone bills.
Business VoIP systems make sense for the office place and also for business travelers. In the office a VoIP system can be used to completely replace or compliment a current PBX system. A business VoIP system will have a gateway that converts analog voice into digital packets that are then sent through the Internet or company intranet. These digital data packets go directly to a VoIP server, which routes the calls to the correct destinations.
A VoIP call system can also be set up similar to a PBX one, where calls are received and managed by an operator at a VoIP console. An automated VoIP call system may also be set up with menu items so that the caller can select the correct destination. Another business VoIP system that may be set up will allow calls to be routed and distributed to a customer service call center where incoming calls are divided among available representatives.
VoIP web conferencing is another business VoIP system that is rapidly replacing many traditional web conferencing systems due to the low cost and additional features of the VoIP system. Digital voice, sound, video and animations can be presented to many business users at one time in conference rooms or at their PC's. Macromedia even has an advanced web conferencing system based on Flash technology to deliver real-time dynamic graphics and other media.
Business travelers can carry a VoIP hard-phone that only needs a high-speed Internet connection such as those found at airports, hotels and cafes to operate. A business traveler may also use a VoIP softphone on their PC or carry a telephone / adapter combination to also plug into a high-speed Internet connection. The only requirement for all of these choices is the high-speed connection.
So, no matter what your business uses are, business VoIP will not only save your company money but will also deliver added power and features not included in current systems.
